Supporting local children
APKID is wholly owned by the Kapoor family, who play an active role in supporting their local community. The family firmly believes that they have a responsibility to share the proceeds of their business endeavours with those less fortunate, and undertake many initatives in this regard.
One key initiative is the funding of three free schools for impoverished boys and girls, based in Ghaziabad.
"Our schools are free for all students, and they regularly top the district for results" - Puneet Kapoor
Puneet Kapoor, COO and CTO at APKID, also serves as Manager of the three schools: Adhyatmik Nagar Primary School, Adhyatmik Nagar Junior High School for Girls and Adhyatmik Nagar Inter College:
"India is a country that still suffers from inequality, and many young people do not have the opportunity to fulfil their potential. The values in our family and at APKID make it impossible for us to stand by without contributing in some way. We have therefore setup the three Adhyatmik Nagar schools, and gladly commit our time and financial resource to these schools.
Our schools are free for all students, and regularly top the district for results. We are especially committed to educating young girls, we feel they have every right to learn, play and thrive. Many of our students come from challenging backgrounds, but go on to secure jobs in government, medicine, and other prestigious positions. We are truly grateful for the opportunity to help young people in this way."
